Oo! I forced myself to open my taiko strings today! I re-strung the qin and it sounded good, far better than that of the Huqiu! Less buzzing, not as sticky, sound more fuller, etc. Of course, I will have to revert it back to metal-nylon for the summer school so I can hear myself play...

I was reading about the silk string brand from Suzhuo. By coinsidence, a new forum member posted a message about his teacher, Mr Pei from SuZhuo that aslo makes qins. He has a lot of silk string strung qins in his workshop. I though it was odd cos I dont think silk is popular in China. My teacher has one but she is Tiawanese. The local qin shop has ZERO!
I wonder if they are for export.......Just thinking out-loud.....................

I heard from a bird that there is another silk string brand called "Wusheng" that claims to be better than Taiko. Anyone got any info on that?
