Hi Everyone.I have moved across the country and was not able to bring my okinawan style san xian.I have been playing for a couple years.I have not played it in about a year.I left it with a relative.Well I think I want to play northen style chinese sanxian but I cant find a cheap one.Does anybody know or have one I could buy.I really miss playing sanxian.I will also need vcd on how to play cuase I used to have a teacher but I forgot how to play.Is sanxian hard to learn?I think the technique is very different from okinawa style sanxian.Where can I buy some accesories to go with it.Sanxian was my first instrument I dont want to lose it.

What is cheap? The small sanxian at Eason looks like a good deal. Lark in the Morning (www.larkinam.com) has both Chinese sanxian and Okinawan sanshin but at a higher price. Frankly, I would trust Sung Wah more than Lark.
Sung Wah is in Beijing until next week for a music show. I don't know if he is able to pick up his email, but you might contact him directly in case he finds something economical during his trip.
Best wishes,
David
