Yet another example of Brit Imperialistic snobbery. What, the Colonies aren't good enough to share culture with?

But we have to pay a £130 ($260) TV licence every year, you don't...

Anyhoo, the programme was filled with music I can tell you. It was on the accordian and most of the interviewees spoke pure Gaelic (?), subs and all. And this guy, Joe Burke is an amazing player!

Thanks for the Youtube link. Welcome to my other musical world!
And Charlie, you're right - we don't pay a TV license fee, but then again, you don't have George Bush for President.

Won't be long, Carlos. Only a few months to go, but then it could all go pear-shaped. Thank the stars that Bush isn't like the floater-that-just-wouldn't-flush-away that is Mugabe...

Pear-shaped as in Hillary?
You know, this is a very exciting and interesting time in America's political history. I predict that there is only a slim chance of Clinton or Obama being elected, but their presence is opening the door for the next election. I think we'll have a woman president win the next go-round, however.
I know we're a bit backwards and self-righteous over here, but we're coming along. Hey! We're only 232 years old, a veritable adolescent of a country.
