Dividing up the hui concept

I dont totally understand what my teacher is telling me about how if you pluck and stop down strings in befferent areas they place same note.

She was first dividing the hui marks in half, then having a group that was hui 5 long.

Sorry I am not to clear on it, but as they could bot explain in english I was a bit confused. Ony that you can play the same note in many places

It's the same with any other stringed instrument with more than one string. I don't know why you are taught this at this early stage. It is required knowledge in tuning (marginally) and intermediate aspects. Don't worry about it. They only thing you need to worry about is getting note position on the strings correct.
