Hmmm, the names of the TT files are SimpMusicBase and SimpMusicAccent. I'm sure you can search this forum for how David-san got it.

The following TTF has some promise. It looks like a bit of fooling around will be necessary to find the right key sequences. The source site was tough enough to navigate that I just put it on my web space: home.comcast.net/~davidmdahl/jianpu2.5.zipThere appear to be some instructions in accompanying documents, but they are in Chinese. I would appreciate any useful translations. If this link does not work for anyone, please send me a private message and I will email the zip file. Best wishes, David

I have been talking to the author of the free Jianpu editor, Mr. Bo Xu. He has agreed to release the source code under the GNU public license. You can find a copy at www.a1soft.com/smusic/We should now be able to add fonts or make other modifications ourselves. I'm happy to provide web space for coordinating work on the program if there is any interest. I haven't yet looked at the source, but it is in some sort of Windows toolkit.

Sorry to subject y'all to that. To make up for it, here is a smidgen of potentially useful info: Location of an open source music notation "engraver" software, very thorough, very complete, rather difficult to get started with. I use it for wuxianpu scores that I have to make for my ensembles, but I have a strong suspicion that (with considerable persistence) it could be made to do jianpu. Or, whatever, since it is open source. Binary distributions exist for Mac, Windows, and many flavors of Linux and Unix. I love it: lilypond.org. I've just tried that and it is hard! It's like learning another language! I just want something that is easier, or a font so I can do rhythms instead.

I don't get how lilypon.org works. Does anyone know of a site where you can transfer the keys, so it's more easier? I only like to read D, F, and B flat key on erhu music.
