Does anyone know whether there's anyone who teaches the guzheng in Oregon, U.S., particularly in Eugene? If so, please share that info with us!
Also if anyone has a comprehensive list of guzheng teachers all over the U.S., that'd come in really handy! (I am aware that there's a list online but perhaps there are more guzheng teachers than what actually shows up there currently!)
Many thanks in advance to those of you who can help - much appreciated!

I don't know who teaches guzheng in Eugene, but Jim Bard in Eugene is a guzheng dealer. He might know someone. www.guzhengworld.comI have more contacts in Portland. If you strike out in Eugene let me know by PM, and I will get you some names of guzheng teachers in Portland. Best wishes, David

Thank you David for your kind reply and suggestion. I tried the link you gave in your reply, but it brought up this website in Chinese - something to do with the Central Government of China - which seemed totally unrelated. As a result, I wasn't able to find Jim Bard's link. Would you be able to give me his email? Or would you have more names ready that I could possibly have? Many thanks again in advance for your help!

*PS. By the way, if Portland's also in Oregon, how far is it from Eugene?

I wrote directly with contact information for Jim Bard.
I know that there are several guzheng players in Portland, so hopefully one or more of them also teach. Recently a trio of musicians on erhu, dizi and guzheng performed in the Portland Chinese Garden. The guzheng player is fairly young, so I don't know if she teaches. I have seen others play at Chinese/Pan Asian culture fairs in town, so I expect someone will be able to help if you don't mind the drive to Portland.
Best wishes,
David
