Last week I inquired on the Erhu section for arrangements of erhu with guzheng. So far the only erhu plus guzheng tune I have a score for is The Fishing Boat at Dusk, thanks to Paul Valente. The combination is so lovely that I am surprised it is not more common. I find it much better with erhu than the much more popular pairing with yangqin.
So, if you guzheng types know of a source of scores for erhu with guzheng, please let me know. Scans and downloads are always welcome, but I am not opposed to buying books as well.
Thanks.
Best wishes,
David

By the way, if anyone wants a copy, I have it scanned into pdf that I sent David.
One minor correction -- the title is something like "Singing on the Fishing Boat at Dusk" which is different from the American version "Singing and Getting Drunk on the Fishing Boat at Dusk"
Regards, Paul....

I'd love a copy. By the way, I think that the true American version would be :
"Getting Drunk and THEN Singing on a Fishing Boat at Dusk."

The combination is so lovely that I am surprised it is not more common. I find it much better with erhu than the much more popular pairing with yangqin. I think the most commonly known duet version that involves the Zheng is for Gaohu (hi-pitch huqin) & Zheng. And yes, it's much more poetic than the Zheng solo version. So, if you guzheng types know of a source of scores for erhu with guzheng, please let me know. Scans and downloads are always welcome, but I am not opposed to buying books as well. There IS a book, but it's all Cantonese (Kejia) pieces for Huqin and Zheng, here's what the cover looks like: ISBN: 7103012881 Pages: 269
