i just wanted to know which tuning system would be better?...can could you explain the difference...thanks

It really is up to you which method you use to string the qin.
For me, I prefer the traditional one, because it looks more aesthetically pleasing, unlike the 'torture device' that is the new block of wood with pins sticking out of it. But, I would say that unless you are weak at the arms, you really should at least learn to do it the 'proper' way. It is a matter of convienence.

It's a normal tuning wrench you use for guzhengs et al.
Yes, you can remove the tuning device. It's sorta hooked on the two legs.
