Hi again, all! I'm following (sort of) the graded list of pieces put out by NAGA, and I can't find music for two of the pieces in grade 1: Kai Gu Yin ("Reflecting on the Past") and Lou Shi Ming ("Ode to the Simple Life"). Sorry, I still need staff or number notation to go with the tablature symbols (BTW, what's the Chinese name for that notation? I'd like to appear more learned.) If anyone can help me find them, or even send me a copy, I'd be very appreciative. Best to all, K.

You don't have to follow the list to the word Kyokuhon-san. It is more like a guide (I've abandoned using it already).
I don't know where you can find Kaigu Yin, but the original one, Kai Gu, exists in Shenqi Mipu. Loushi Ming I have never come across.
Number notation is called 'jianpu'.
Hang on, I've found both of them with jianpu in Yushan Wushi Qinpu. I could send the page scans to you (you will have to wait some time as I might be busy this week).

Hey, Charlie, Thanks for the offer, and I'd love to have scans of the music. And thanks, too, for the advice. I already don't follow the list to the letter. I've started playing Jiu Kuang, for example, and I think they put it in level 4. I just find that I like the simpler, less virtuosic pieces, probably at least in part because I don't have the time or talent to be a virtuoso. I'm like that with all the instruments I play. Thanks again for the offer, and finding the music. Oh, and no hurry, I've got plenty to work on. Best, K.
