Hi everyone. Sup, love dizi very much, gonna love it my whole life. Anyways, I bought a dizi at Lark In The Morning in SF, and they gave me a pack of the dimo. But I'm starting to run out. I have another kind called High Quality Dizi Membrane, but it's not as real or professional as the kind I got with the dizi. So does anyone know any good brands or anywhere to purchase professional dimo in the Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond or San Francisco area? Any help or information in welcome and appreciated! Thanks!

Hi!
This happened not only to you, but to everyone from Jiang Guoji (Zhao Song Ting's Chief Disciple) to my little students.
Rainfall in 2005 had been too much in Anhui, where dimo was made. The resultant cattail reed became too thick. The quality i got on favour from Jiang Guoji was...sad to say, unusable. I had to spend twice market value in china to buy up 2004-2005 stocks.
I have about 100 packs left now, and not many left. Its the same wherever you go.

or, if i am not wrong, SONG (from the forum as well) have some too. My dimo stocks are valuable assets as i wholesale a lot to japan these days.
recently i have a new class of dizi coming in. It was made by a Chinese and Austrian collaborated experiments. Good results. Will show more in future.

You don't have to give me any. If you're short on stock, that would be selfish of me to ask for some. I have grandparents in China right now, and I have asked them to buy me packs of professional dimo.
