So my new dragon erhu is from the brand Hu Yue. but i still dont know the craftsman/ maker or anything from this brand. i understand that this is a very top quality brand with some of the best and finest erhu makers from china. so can anyone give some information on makers, the location, and history of this brand? thank you

A lot of people use this kind of stamp. You have to look closely at the characters.
The company behind Wan Qi Xing's Erhus are 'Gu Yue' instead of 'Hu Yue'.

i think it is. i read the sticker wrong. it only uses the second half of the "hu" character. and yes, i compared these two stamps. they look identical.

Can you provide some backround information on this brand? It's based in Suzhou am i correct?

Wan Qi Xing is born in 1938, started learning erhu making when he is 15 years old. went around Suzhou to work in instrument factories and went back to hometown in 1964 to start his own business. based in Suzhou Wuxi. Studied under Lu Wei Kang Erhu master. Wan's Erhus are highly regarded among professionals.
