Hi everyone. I haven't started a topic in pretty long. I got a new solo song that I'm getting tested on this Saturday. The song is called "Tear River". I don't know if it's the right translation. The song is in B flat and C key.
I don't know if my bowing is right yet. Because it's still new to me. So I don't want to develop the wrong notes or bowing. If you know a video, please post it up. Thanks you.

Possibly. Coz the song starts with Bb, changes to C in the middle and then back to Bb.

Very well played, jetz320! You play very expressively and your tuning is excellent. It is no surprise that this is your favorite tune since you have such a feeling for it. I think that I have heard more drama and volume in some of the more intense sections, so maybe you could consider that. In a longer solo tune it is important to provide as much contrast as possible, and to plan the phrasing. You already do this well, but more will be yet better.
Best wishes,
David

thanks a lot for the compliments david. in the last paragraph, i know im suppose to play forteforte. it felt weird when i was recording it. so some things didn't come out perfect. and my teacher always tells me things like i don't play solid all the time. thanks for the support though.

So that's what you look like Jetz. Not too far from what I imagined.
You sounded good! How long have you been learning? Not too long if I can remember.
The Erhu head looks mean.

This is my performance of Jiang He Shui in Portland, Oregon during my orchestra's tour in the northwest. It has the yangqin part included. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXjEYdMMvpI
