Hi Bagel,
The little notes of the first piece are ornaments. I don't think it is written specially for Erhu. In the key of F the lowest note is a dot below 6 whereas you find notes lower than that in the score.
The Erhu solo of the same theme is called 洪湖人民的心愿。
The second piece has parts written for 2 erhu.

I agree with Song. The second tune Zi Zhu Diao is otherwise famously known in English as Purple Bamboo. You can listen to the music to hear how the notation sounds by clicking on the tune name on the third link you listed.
