Hi all,
i'm new here, i came from hong kong las week and there i bought two books of erhu and one of dizi, but... in chinese, lol. And i bought 4 cds to play erhu, in chinese too, lol. i cant read the theory , but can read tables and a lot of songs. If anyone has similar books in english i would like to see, to understand the theory. for example, anyone can tell me what the lines under numbers means in erhu songs?. well, thanks for all and sorry for my english, and if anyone wants songs i've hundreds.
thanks.

Hello chemm, Welcome to the forum! The notation used for traditional Chinese music such as for dizi and erhu is called jianpu. There is a very useful article on jianpu on www.wikipedia.com. Just about anything I could write about understanding jianpu is better explained in this article. If you have any questions afterward, please ask them here. Best wishes, David
