Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum. I play the violin and received an ehru as a gift a few years ago. I really want to start studying with a teacher. Does anyone know of a good one in NYC? Thanks! - alvina

Alvina: Welcome to this place, and to the erhu. You'll love it. A word of advice - try to not transfer your violin left-hand technique to the erhu! Here's a link to a place in NY that could either provide a teacher or help you find one: store.wossing.com/kc/store/browse.cfm?kid=3Let us know if they are helpful (I don't know them, but just did a google search.) If you're motivated, you could be up to speed in a month or two and work a lot on your own. Good luck, Carlos

Carlos,
Thanks so much for your message. I actually just signed up for classes at Wossing and am going to start in a few weeks. Very excited!
Best, Alvina
