I found and erhu teacher here in Georgia and will have my first lesson on Saturday! If someone is looking for a teacher here in Georgia I can provide you with a number and directions.
Best Wishes, Lisa ;D ;D ;D

That is terrific news, Lisa! I hope you have fun with the erhu. Be patient with yourself, practice daily, and take care to learn the fundamentals well. You will be surprised how quickly you learn. I found the erhu fun to play long before I sounded very good. At one point my cat left the room quickly when she saw the erhu case. Now she still leaves, but not quite as quickly. <g>
Best wishes,
David

I am happy to report that my teacher survived my first erhu lesson. I was amazed that I didn't make her eyes water (LOL). I can't wait to learn more! The instruction book is all in Chinese so I should be well rounded when I'm finished! Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I am fortunate I found a very patient teacher. Lisa
