Hi
Does a specialised guqin table have to have the same length as the guqin? I suspect not, since many professional guqin tables that I've seen are shorter in length than the length of a qin, which to me is understandable since only the qin's goose feet and the part near the bridges are in contact with the table and supported by the table.
But I guess it looks nicer if both entites have the same length anyway, if only for aesthetic reasons...

but the qin end with the tuning pegs has to stick out so i think visualy there is no connection.
just buy one, or if you dont want to spend the money then get oe from ikea like i did.

It is all to do with preferences. As long as the goose feet and the part below the peg pool is on the table, it is OK. Though from my point of view, it should be around the same length as the qin so that both sound holes are above a part of the table for more resonance.

Hi Charlie, I seem to remember you have a qin table (from some of your photos featured in the past). What's the length of it (in cm)? This qin table I am looking at is 105cm in length.

So if you are looking at a qin table why do you need to know the size - they all come from china which is the home of guqin tables!. And seems they are all similar size. Unless you are going to specialy make one.......
