If You could not, calden, tell me as i might be able to help u. The prices in Japan are OBSCENE! SOmething I sell (retail) for USD 320 sells for 100K yen! My Distributor in Japan lectures in erhu for a music organisation as big as Seiko. They have regular deals and i might be able to help. My wife has handed the information to their program's translator. But in the meantime... Yinhao, what WOULD you charge for an electric erhu sent to the US? There might be several of us interested... I have found the prices
From SEIKO (excluding shipping) - USD 400
I have another source in China, which made headlines by making high quality electronic erhus for about $250 ex shipping ($60 - no CITES needed!!!)
It looks EXACTLY like seiko's i have a feeling seiko simply brand this(as it has been sent to Japan)

Wow - USD $310? That sounds pretty good! Christmas is coming up soon. I've had my eye on a flash recorder or maybe a guqin. I need to think how much I might want/need an electric erhu.

Hey Carlos, of course you need an electronic erhu! If you need any help with the rationalizations, let me know. I have become quite good at them. <g>
Best wishes,
David

I have become quite good at them. <g> Best wishes, David David, I know better than to talk to you about buying instruments. Why do you think I haven't visited in a while? One look in the Studio of David, and I'm off to send an email to Cadenza or Eason. Carlos

Hahaha, which reminds me, Cadenza is undergoing a major restock
To help with MORE Rationalization, we have reduced prices. Violet Sandalwood Erhus (Broad leaved Version) now cost a mere $600. Heitan or Dalbergia, Erhu costs $520!!
We are also launching a roasewood version costs only $199. Its professional standard erhu, selling like hotcakes in Taiwan.
