Hi. Does anyone have the music for Racing Horses? I'm getting more interested in erhu since I've started taking lessons.
Also, my lessons are going great!! But yesterday, I went to class and had no idea of what we were doing. I was new there. I knew about 4 people there. The conductor told us to play De Colores, and I had no idea what to do. Thank God I learned how to read the music in time. We just kept on playing songs and I had to just go along with the music. So difficult!!! I then got a peace called "Good Evening" from the erhu teacher. I'm starting to enjoy that peace alot. Anyone else played that song before? And yeah.

The jianpu for Racing Horses (Sai Ma) is available via the "library" section on the Cadenza website: www.cadenzamusic.biz/scores.htmFind it in the sixth row, fourth column. Right click on the Chinese characters and save on your computer where you wish. Good Evening is probably "Liang Xiao" which I know as Beautiful Evening. That is indeed beautiful music. Best wishes, David

I used a graphics program to cut it up into pieces each of which fit nicely on a page. I used Thumbs Plus. Maybe you have something similar.
I will send you a pdf of the version of Sai Ma that I play. If you prefer the more common version, I can send it next weekend after I return from a trip.
Best wishes,
David

Thanks! I would like the common version. I can play this version, but sounds weird than the regular version I hear often.

Hi David,
Can send me the "sai ma" version that you are playing? Also, is the program that you use to "cut" downloadable as free software?
regards, Tang

About the embedded score by damien (2 posts up). The music starts with Chinese in the first 2 measures. This is the first time I've seen this. Are there any other musical scores which do this? Does this happen only at the beginning of the score or can this "Chinese text" occur in the middle of the score? How is this translated to western music notation?
