I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't print most of the erhu scores that Cadenza was kind enough to supply. I've even tried to import them into various apps to remedy this but nothing has worked.
So, I had some time during lunch today and took the first column of scores and did some editing. Converted the final document to pdf (about 45 pgs) so people don't have to worry about which platform the're using. I hope to do this for the other erhu column lists in the near future.
If you want this first attempt of scores, send me a PM.
Hey, Yinhao -- if I get all of this complete, do you want to have them available on Cadenza?
Regards, Paul....

Thats awesome! I think you should try posting it on a hosting site, like YouSendIt or FileFactory. File factory has several ways to download, like HTTP, FTP, or P2P (and its FAST!).
Good job! And many thanks from all of us in advance!

JD, Thanks for the tip -- if Yinhao doesn't want (or can't) let them reside on Cadenza, I'll check out one of the options you suggested.

Paul, I'll be glad to offer my site too. My hosting co. has 400gb of data transfer so they say. I suppose that translates to faster downloading.....

Everyone,
Thanks for all your help & suggestions.
Yinhao, when I'm done, I'll email the pdf's to you and you can host them on the Cadenza site. This way, people can download individual or groups of erhu scores. Thanks again for having the scores available.
By the way, I used Paint Shop Pro to work with the jpg images and copied the pieces into MS Word prior to the pdf conversion. If anyone wants the MS Word documents, let me know and I'll zip them up and send them to you when I'm done.
Regards, paul....

hmm 500mb of space. That would be just about enough room to include an MP3 of someone playing each piece . Of course, you would have to find someone willing to record and license it under creative commons or otherwise allow you to host them.

Paul:
I tried downloading the first selection. Got to the filefactory page, and see the text that says
"Filename : erhu-first-col.pdf Size : 5.82 MB"
but don't see what to click to select it to download. Please advise.

Carlos carlos, Looks like you just choose which way to download them. There's a fast way (and costs $$) and the slow download is free. Move your mouse pointer under the title (further down) and you'll see the pointer change. Regards, Paul....

Some of these files were too big (beyond the 10MB limit of most mail servers) to send to Yinhao for posting on the Cadenza site.
Download them as soon as you can from the FileFactory links above. If FileFactory deletes them, let me know and I'll upload them again.
Regards, Paul...
