It was translated as nostalgia on that one.

ok I found it on cadenza 怀乡行 Huai xiang xian According to google. Nostalgiac feelings of expatriots OK.... or simply nostalgia. or "my long way home' i have also seen it translated as Homesick, longing for home, a long way from home, etc. I think i will translate it as "i feel like pepperoni pizza from home" just to be different. j/k A Nice song in G. Lots of nice long expressive notes to practice vibrato and bowing techniques on. Unfortunately, my current erhu has serious uncontrollable squeeking issues on notes above F5 or so. Fortunately, my new one from Cadenza should be in the mail. Unfortunately, its probably my bowing technique to blame. Fortunately, I'll have a proven excellent sounding erhu to prove it one way or the other.

Ebony sandlewood with large scale reticulated skin. I am anxious to get it. The picture looks great and I expect, like most pictures of wooden things, it doesn't do it justice.

At least with a good erhu, you know it's you if you are playing badly and not because you have bad instrument. We'd love to see some pics when you get it.
"welcome Home Our Soldier Brother" maybe is "hong jun gege hui lai le", (red army brother has returned, usually for banhu), maybe not, it sounds like it's in a minor key.

and by the way, Maaltan's erhu is the model erhu for my company. Reason why its late? Concert Master Li Baoshun wants to play a bit, Kong yan Yan Played a bit and a whole host of other big-wigs from Singapore tried it and gave it thumbs up. if u guys wanna see the pic, its the bottom most pic from the page www.cadenzamusic.biz/cn/products.htm

Sadly, most Singaporeans refuse to beleieve that we make the erhus, such that 50% goes to Japan, 20% to Canada, 20% to USA and 10% to Malaysia.
I am letting Singaporeans take a look at our workshop in Bugis, and are wiling to share knowledge with them...

Can anyone find or does anyone have the written music for Jasmine Flower?
I like this song it is warm, sad but lively and happy at the same time.
Also, is there a Chinese name for Jasmine Flower? because i might well have it already.

It's Chinese name is Mo-li-hua (simplified characters: 茉莉花). Forget it -- I just looked at the listing and didn't see it there. Sent you a PM. Regards, Paul....

I am not sure how this page looks to you, but Molihua is in the middle column of the three-column table that makes up the bulk of the page, third from the bottom. If you can't find it, let me know by PM and I can email it to you. I am happy to do this, but I highly recommend tooling yourself to get stuff like this from Chinese websites. It will really open a world of resources to you. There are very useful translation websites available as well, so you don't need to know Chinese to get by. Often it is just a matter of poking around until you find something useful. Best wishes, David

Best wishes, David Yeah im getting good at that. some people around here (physically) think i know chinese for all the stuff google translated for me. Im going to start machine translating some of these books i have once i get my scanner where i can work on it (read: auto page feeder:) ) and a BIG hd. I have the software installed but it needs 1200 DPI minimum for any decent recognition thats about 10-20Mb per page. I plan on OCRing it puting it on a semi-private webpage and letting google translate it for me . The only chinese i really know is Yi, Er, San, qianjin, you get the drift. I also know "is she your wife?" and "this is my wife" certain times of the day. I learned that from chinese CD. put the track on loop and traffic got unbelivably horrible. it looped for about 30 minutes before i could reach over and turn it off. its perminantly in my subconscious. I can't type it or prove in a substantial way but it comes out involentarily sometimes.. i think i gave myself turrett's (a disease that isn't a joke btw.. i knew someone with it in college)

........... The only chinese i really know is Yi, Er, San, qianjin, you get the drift. ................... maaltan, You should also learn these two "useful" items (never know when you might have to go to China): "Wǒ xiǎng yào yi píng pijiu" -- 我想要一瓶啤酒 -- I would like a bottle of beer. "Cèsuǒ zài nǎr?" -- 厕所在哪儿? -- Where's the toilet? If you're really interested in learning Mandarin, there's a place in Boston who sells some nice learning materials -- I've bought some stuff from them in the past and it's high quality. Here's their URL to check out and mail order from: www.cheng-tsui.com/Regards, paul..

Thankyou David i have Jasmine Flower but now i have fallen inlove with another piece of music by Jia Peng Fang and the song is called Rainbow from his album called Rainbow. All of his tunes are very sweet but Rainbow is special as an emotional song. www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/1221112/a/Rainbow.htmPorbably won't be able to get the written music for this as Paul pointed out it's copyrighted, but you never know, someone here might know how to get hold of it.

I'm looking for jianpu for 丝路驼铃 (si1 lu4 tuo3 ling2), which I have seen translated as "Camel Bells on the Silk Road". I know it's a traditional ruan piece (I would have posted this on a ruan board if it existed!), but there is an erhu recording by Wang Hiu Nam, so I figured I'd try here. Here is a recording of it: www.funmtv.com/play/22967.htmI've already checked Cadenza and attempted to search Google, but I can't read Chinese, so it's a little hard.
