Greetings all:
Warm wishes for a very good New Year! As they say,
"May the best of 2006 be the worst of 2007!"
And may 2007 be full of wonderful musical experiences for us all. I performed in a wonderful Irish dance concert last night. Five hours of great music and wonderful dancing, and a packed theater for all five shows.

That sounds like a lot of fun, Carlos. We had a relatively quiet New Year's Eve, if anything with a five-year-old can be considered quiet. When my women went to bed, I watched my DVD Christmas present of Pirates of the Caribbean while fiddling around on my erhu.
Oh, and yesterday I ordered a guzheng (Dunhuang 695D) from Carol at Sound of China. My music room is going to get even tighter for space now!
Happy New Year and keep enjoying the music!
Best wishes,
David

Hi all!!
I am now in China, and i can't seem to get to any valid connections... money stuck, cites lost and earthquake, the only happy event seems to be that i am now selling erhus in shanghai, albeit on a very small scale
Apologies for the delay to Dennis southwood, and i am terribly tied up in shanghai.

Hey Yinhao!
It appears 2007 has not started well for you. I hope that the communications and other difficulties are resolved soon so you can get back on your usual fast track. Maybe this is a good time to practice.
The erhu and gaohu strings arrived last week. My old rosewood erhu is breaking in nicely. Now I don't have any excuses but just need to find the time and energy to practice all my instruments. What a wonderful problem to have!
Best wishes,
David
