Hello Everyone,
Recently a good friend of mine passed away and since she didn’t have any close family where we live I have been sorting her things. A couple of days ago I found this Huqin (pretty sure it is an Erhu). When we were younger her mother and grandmother used to tell us it was a family heirloom and that it had been in their family for a very long time.
Now I definitely don’t look to sell it. I don’t care about the monetary value since it has meaning to both me and my late friend but I’m curious if someone could help me get more information about it. Like from what years it circa really was since they always said like 400/600 years ago but I didn’t really believe that hahaha
(Also I’m new here if someone could tell me how to add foto’s that would be helpful)

Hi Sana, you omitted the most important part, a photo of the snakeskin. However from what I can see I'm not optimistic that it would be worth a great deal. I also have a feeling it may be a gaohu rather than an erhu. A photo of the snakeskin and a photo of the entire huqin would be good. Thanks.
