Hi everyone, I'm in search of effective stretching exercises specifically tailored for erhu players. Despite maintaining good posture and staying relaxed, playing the erhu for 1.5 to 2 hours daily is causing muscle pain in my mid-back, particularly on the right side.
While there's plenty of information on preventing muscle injuries for various instruments, I haven't found anything for the erhu. I've tried cello-related stretches, but they don't seem to target the same muscle groups due to the different playing positions.
Does anyone here have experience or advice on this? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi depthhoar and welcome.
Do you have a teacher to advise you? With 1.5 to 2 hours daily practice , you are keen. How long have you been playing the erhu? Can you post a video of yourself playing the erhu on YT so I may offer any advice?
