Because of the time difference with my tutors I have my dizi and erhu lessons early. The difficulty is confounded by the previous late night work.
I knew this would be a problem so recorded my homework and played it to my dizi tutor. "This is how I normally play when I'm awake!" Sometimes when I get up I can barely talk let alone hit the third or even second octaves.
However because of the small size of UK homes I don't play after 10pm for fear of annoying the neighbours.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi, a bit late but I just joined. I live in a bungalow so I'm ok to play. If I'm playing a bangdi I usually do it in the car at night.

Hi namak and welcome to the forum. If I tried playing the dizi in the car I'm sure to get reported to the police. Tell us a bit about yourself, how long have you been playing?
