I once learnt a tune for Chinese New Year and what I remember of it was that it was played at an incredible speed. Bamboogrove's idea was to have different amateur musicians play different instruments, record them individually and put them all together. I chose to play the liuqin over the dizi and let's just say I wouldn't do it again.
