Hello, people! I hope there is still someone here, I don't see any better place gathering erhhu players in the net
I am beginner erhu player from Poland, unfortunately there is no erhu teacher in my country. I couldn't find any... So I am on my own. But I don't give up!
For now I've got some cheap instrument and colecting money for better one!
(btw. can anyone tell me if this one will be good one? Maybe someone tried it? www.easonmusicstore.com/collections/erhu-instrument/products/popular-red-sandalwood-erhu-by-shanghai-dunhuang )
I already know how to play in first position (D-scale). I am doing exercises and learning simple tunes from this source: learnerhu.thinkific.com/courses/take/beginner-erhu-course/
My main question is, because I don't have a teacher to guide me, what should be my proper learning path from now on?
Should I learn all positions in D-scale first and then switch to G-Scale? Or maybe it's better to learn first positions in all scales first and then learn the rest of them?
When should I start learning more complicated teqniques like vibrato, slides, switching positions etc?
What I mean is: what should I learn step by step to slowly reach the level when I can play my favourite tunes?
I am also learning to read jianpu and do exercises in it. So if you have exercises on your discs, I would gladly use them, since most links on this forum are expired
Have a great day and I hope someone will find a few minutes to help a newbie!
