Some music sheets in jianpu notation have vertical numbers aligned. What does that mean?
Example 5 2 7 are vertically aligned. How is that played as a note in dizi?
5 2 3 2 1 || 7 - 2 .

Welcome to the forum, kenlong. Without seeing the actual score, I assume that it is for an instrument that can play chords, such as a guzheng or yangqin. If that is the case, of course you can only play one note at a time on a dizi. Feel free to adjust the score to suit your instrument, ability, and purpose. It can be very helpful to listen to a recording of the tune, especially played on a dizi. That way you can hear what ornaments and other embellishments sound good on the tune. There are a lot of such videos on Youtube. It is often best if you can find and search on the Chinese characters for the tune.
Best wishes,
David
