Can somebody please give me a file with the erhu fingerings? I have some knowledge of the erhu and am currently trying to play the scale. Thank you.

Serena, Please send me a personal message with a good email address for you and I'll send you a Microsoft Word doc that has D, G, F, C, A, and Bflat major scales on it. I also have the page that used to be on Jie Bing Chen's website that had all the erhu notation.
Regards, Paul...

Ok cool, sent you a pm with my email address.
Yet another question and im sure i read it somewhere else in this forum but i can't seem to find it.
Does anyone get a problem with playing high notes at the bottom of the strings?
There is a song called rainbow thats very pretty and it has very high notes so i thought i'd give a high note a go but i get that horrible sound when you don't have enough rosin...

it can be caused by a bad bridge or more probably a bad skin. I have a cheap ebay erhu that wouldnt play anything above a f5 or so. My new one sounds SOO much better.
Also I've noticed that you need more pressure and speed to make the higher notes sound good.

Well my bridges are pretty bad. It's made from white wood and looks to be cut very badly and does not leave much space between the strings. I have plenty rosin on my bow for sure and the new stuff which is a lighter kind of bronze than what i had made for violins seems to last alot longer.
But as i have said before i think when i get my new white hair bow and ebony bridges it will produce a much better sound. I have been bowing slowly and steady which could be the problem too.
And Paul is 100% right, practice is a must of course lol
