I'd like to also extend my warmest wishes for a splendid new year filled with much joy, health and prosparity to all! Further more I recently went (with a close musical friend for a Christmas get-together) to go see a small film/documentary entitled: "What Remains Of Us" It is by a film maker who was a refugee child growing up in India, she is born Tibetan and now an adult she resides in Montreal - Canada. She is the narrator and film maker for this piece. She carries with her the message of the Dalai Lama via protable DVD player with a set of small speakers, she'd bring this to families who invite her in and who "wish to break the silence", speak out about the real "hell" that is inside of their own country. If we all have great compassion and regard for peace in our hearts and beings lets please take a small moment when we chow down Christmas eve to give a small prayer to those in Tibet today. They are people of an ancient and peaceful way which is near extinction by some regime which has no regard for preservation nor recognition of a fine race of people other than themselves!!! I struggle every day and after watching this film I am made even more humble (my own struggles seem so much less) and I become enragingly scared for humanity, when even the UN only stands and watches countries like Tibet disolve under an obvious repressive demon regime yet they (the UN) just have the power to stand behind nations with only commercial intent of protecting wealth. What is becoming of this world when history continuously repeats is nasty ways and those in the most power and most able just stand while people loose their country, their lives, their history, their way of "being" all in a blink of an eye turning away! I pray for the mercy of all Tibet, such a lovely and magnificent Tibet, all her children may eventually die out by the hands of a few corrupt officials but Tibet itself has risen to a godly state of being just look at the mountains, every breath of compassion from her people are forever preserved in the snow! No one can ever take that away and no one can ever forget that Tibet is a sacred place where the most common sense and values began, now only neglected. How can we be comfortable with the fact that her people are captives and prisoners of their own homeland?!!?!?!?!!!!! There is much we can do individually, we can do better in our own lives and make good sure we don't oppress or abuse other's "being". Namaste, Vi An. www.nfb.ca/whatremainsofus/

In light of the tsunami tragedy in Asia, I pray for peace for all including the deceased...may they rest in peace
