My teacher offered lessons on lesser-known huqins (zhuiqin/leiqin) for an narrative music "event" at school. She offered some instruments for rent in class, but I was enrolled too late. I was interested in this huqin for a while, so I might as well buy one. There are no music stores in my area, where most students get their instruments online, or on a trip to China/Hong Kong.
Thanks

In general, online vendors list their most popular items. If you want something out of the ordinary, it is best to ask (Eason Music, Red Music Shop, etc). Some of the vendors have been around for a while, and may have uncommonly requested instruments out of the way in dark corners. Sometimes, interesting ethnic Chinese instruments are offered on Ebay, sometimes without the correct name and often in dodgy condition.
Best wishes,
David
