The fiddle in the Ebay listing looks like a gaohu, which is tuned up a fourth to G/D. Standard tuning for an erhu is D/A. I would not recommend a gaohu to start with. When you see the pegs made of a different wood than the rest of the fiddle, it is an indication of a cheaper model. Typically, an inexpensive gaohu can be rather harsh sounding.
Best wishes,
David

Actually I preferred the first one, the wood and the snakeskin look ok. I see offers can be made and I would offer two-thirds the selling price. I'm not sure if the bridge is a gaohu bridge and it should be positioned in the centre.
The second instrument is also a gaohu but the skin and wood is terrible. Avoid.
As David suggested if you want to learn one of the huqin family, start on the erhu first.
