As far as I know, there is not one website which 'teaches' the basics of pipa playing. Believe you me, you need a teacher for pipa. There are a lot of things that need to be shown to you in person for you to get it. VCDs and books are only helpful when you get some techniques right. Also, the 'lun' technique is very difficult and requires a lot of practice.

A very bright Pipa player, Samuel Wong is in UK.
He was Champion in Singapore, and he is doing a PhD in Ehinic music, perhaps you could get him.

I don't need to find teachers in the UK coz I already got Cheng Yu to teach me informally as well as at the summer school.

As of today, I am the lucky owner of a beautiful pipa from Eason. Are there any books/VCDs that come particularly recommended? CCN is the only source I know of for pipa books. It is likely to be a while before I get a lesson.
Thanks.
Best wishes,
David
