I picked up my Erhu today after weeks of not practicing and as I bowed a lot of white dust came from the bow hairs, much more than just rosin poweder. How do I know if the bow has mites and is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks Paul. The article mentions cedar oil as a repellent, so I've put some on the bow (just the bamboo). The hairs still seem OK, only a couple had broken. Should be good motivation to practice more often.
