Hello all. I'm new here and was wondering if anyone could share some insight.
15 years ago, I learned guzheng for about 1.5 years and then stopped due to some personal issues. Now I'd like to learn it again but probably will do it via self learning (because there are no guzheng teachers near where I live).
I do have a limited budget and right now am debating between Dunhuang 696D and Ocean of Music (樂海)'s Rich Peony (http://www.musicofmay.com/collections/guzheng-1/products/ocean-of-music-professional-rosewood-guzheng-dragon-and-phoenix). Which one would be a better option? Does anyone know if Ocean of Music is a good brand or not?
Thanks for your help in advance!

Welcome to the forum, Kulala. Dunhuang is a very well-known and respected brand for guzheng. I have a Dunhuang myself, and love it. I have never heard of Ocean of Music, and so cannot say anything good or bad about them. You might ask the vendor for a comparison of the models you are considering. Sometimes the differences between makes and models is not quality, but playing and sound differences. Maybe you will like the ideas of one over the other. Good luck!
Best wishes,
David
