I had the honour to play on one last weekend. Wow the sound was like wooden crytals chiming, strong and very vibrant.
apparently costs about 25,000 rmb and he only makes a few a year (im sure CCC will know this already).
shape was squarish at the slim end with out an inverted thingy. colour was natural finish.

I think the price is probably as reasonable as can be from what you say, given that the price of these things have gone up sky high (not that I think that prices should be this high, but that's the way things are these days not least with guqins). Where did you find this qin? I can't see myself spending that much for a second qin - well at least not yet...

she uses it for performing because of the sound!

He said he makes a couple a month more or less. He may have assistants for that matter.
