I wonder about shifting weight to be more effortless in the bowstroke... if sitting taller (as opposed to rounded shoulders) is supposed to transfer more power to the stroke or just protect me from pain later.
I ask this because I imagine I should be transfering weight a certain way to my forearm when I sit taller.
Is that the gist of it?

The trick is to not be very tense or poised, but still have a good postition and stay relaxed without slouching. Hope this answers your question

But remember to ask your teacher because they can probably explain this to you with more insight based on the way you sit already.

He finds I slouch and lean my body into the bowstroke out. I thought I was just getting into it like exhaling with the phrase.
But he asks me to sit very erect. I wonder if that's how it feels for other players.
I will try to do it sitting up but being relaxed... if that is possible. LOL
I will try.
Thanks.
