Very overwhelming to have a gigantic dizi (aka 巨笛) performed in front of you, not to mention the fingering and breath logistics! Here it is, being brought to the audience! The pitch of this flute is so low, that my tablet could not properly record the sound of the jumbo dizi! But I could hear it pretty well with my own ears.

Okay, I stand corrected. The tablet did capture the sound of the jumbo dizi. But you need to use low frequency bass speakers to hear this. Laptop and tablet speakers do not have sufficient low frequency response!

Other things going on in this mini-concert:
A xun performance:
A xiao playing the role of the sax. (Performer is actually from Malaysia)
Sakura via the dongxiao:
Then you start to wonder if you're watching a Chinese concert 'cause it doesn't sound that way . . . . . .
Full youtube videos of that concert will probably be posted by the Chin Yuan Orchestra at some point in the near future . . . . . . .

Be aware that I can't do full recordings of each song. I find that making such recordings distracts me from really appreciating the performance!
