That just destroyed my preconceived notions of the Xiao. I didn't think it was possible to double tongue a Xiao. I have to admit though, I was more interested in the ruans and liuqins.

No doubt that the performer's tempo is much faster than many xiao performances that we have encountered so far . . . . . . . Of course you can double tongue a xiao, but sorry that you can't appreciate the xiao as much as I do.

The music stand may have blocked a part of the view of the xiao. It's very likely G-pitched.

Yep, I got someone on facebook to verify this, and it is indeed a G-pitched xiao.
