I have been reading Lore of the chinese Lute (page 86-7), and i found the section on the mode tunes interesting.
What he says is that in the Ming, they had qin pu which featured tunes for each mode, which introduced the sort of style for that mode. He calles them Tiao I. I sppose thats Dao Yi?
Can anyone tell me the names of these Tiao I for the most comon Dao (modes)
I think I have learnt one - Lin Zhong Yi
Do they have one for Huang Zhong

Yep, diao yi it is. Shenpin Huangzhong Yi is in Shenqi Mipu (that is lower first string and raise 5th).
If you're on about zheng diao then there is one for each of the 5 or 6 modes on standard tuning.
