Pretty good anime show for those of us who picked up an instrument as adults rather than as children: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Corda_d%27OroIn this show, we have this main character without any music background. A magical muse in the form of a fairy gives her a violin, saying that anyone without any experience could play this magical violin. But the main character became too dependent on this magic, and one day accidentally broke the strings, which subsequently also destroyed the magical properties of the violin. She made many friends (all music prodigies) when playing the instrument, and these friends were shocked by how horrible she played when the strings were repaired at a music shop. However, her persistence in seriously learning how to play the violin touched the heart of these music prodigies, who found a greater purpose for playing the music. They were able to find beauty in her imperfect, but constantly improving music. In the end, she effectively becomes their muse. So for any adult in this forum who has chosen a Chinese musical instrument as their first instrument ever in their life, please do post your performances even if they are imperfect. Maybe you'll end up being the muse of other more seasoned musician members of this forum
