Does anyone know of a stand alone jianpu word processor? In other words, this wouldn't be a Microsoft Word macro add on as I no longer use Microsoft World. It would be much easier to exchange jianpu ideas on this forum this way.

The only jianpu editor I know of is the Simperhu font package for MS Word. Maybe you will have better luck finding a standalone jianpu editor on Chinese websites.

A quick search came up with: www.a1soft.com/smusic/I haven't used it. Musescore is for Western notation but maybe some people are adding jianpu to it: musescore.org/en/node/12338musescore.org/en/node/9134I expect there are Chinese commercial jianpu editors/software around. The other way is to edit an image, but it's slow and takes a long time. You start off with a scan from a jianpu score, then use a image editing program to cut and paste the various numbers and symbols to create a new score.

Yes, it's precisely the fact that I want to avoid editing images (or constantly rearranging jianpu notation on powerpoint) that I wish there was a good, platform independent jianpu word processor. www.a1soft.com/smusic/ is still listed as alpha version, but let me try it and get back to everyone. Good thing it's released under the GNU General Public License (ie free software).
