Hi guys... Look, I bought this low f dizi from carotmusic a few months ago (2), and now some strange marks are appearing on the bamboo! I'm desperate! And i don't know what might be causing it... It's just sad =( Does anybody know what might be it? Thank you very much =) (The quality of the pictures is not the greatest, but i will try to take new pictures this weekend) Here's the link to the photos... I didn't figure quite well how to post an image in the forum yet ^^' s10.postimage.org/jk6hnv7q1/Dizi_1.jpgs14.postimage.org/7h3xetn1d/Dizi_2.jpgAttachments:

Hi,
It might be best for you to take a higher resolution macro photo on your digital camera rather than to use the webcam. Additionally, some of the reflections from the flute are clouding my assessment.

It looks like typical bamboo characteristics to me. Shouldn't really be a problem for the flute itself.

The photos are not clear enough for me to tell for sure, but I don't see anything of concern. Unless the flute is smelling bad or there are cracks forming, I wouldn't worry.
I keep my dizis in a plastic ziplock bag to keep them at a reasonably consistant humidity. I have not had any cracking or fungus problems for dizis kept this way. Of course, YMMV.
Best wishes,
David

I don't see very well either, but it seems to be at the place you hold the flute with your left thumb. If it is so, is it possible that the gloss paint is damaged? Sorry if I say something silly, I really don't see very well.
