Hi Carol,
This looks like a great introduction. I currently play songs from my hanzi guzheng music books which I have to translate to understand. So mainly my teacher chooses songs for me and teaches me new techniques when she thinks I need them.
Anyway, back to point. I'd like to encourage you to prioritise the addition of videos. It is one thing to read text saying how to do something, and another to be able to easily do it correctly, and know you are doing so. I initially meant to video my teacher doing the basic techniques, drills, and so forth but have been somewhat lax. Initially I scoured youtube for videos of clear simple finger movement, and failed to find anything. But got my teacher to let me video her doing at least one drill.
Watching something like this is so much easier to comprehend, and duplicate, than following text instructions. And making this video took no time at all with an ipod touch.
Anyway, even without videos, your tutorial (with my existing knowledge) looks easy to follow and valuable for me to try. I'll try and find the time to do so, and give you some feedback.
Cheers.

Thanks gjlearner. I do plan to film video. This will be after a big concert in early August. I'm spending most of the time preparing for the concert now. I'll film the the drills slower so beginners can follow.

That's excellent! I see there are around eight videos now, when my VPN connection is better I'll check them out. It also reminds me I had a minor comment about your tutorial. Lesson one basic plucking skills continuously says "turn your wrist side way". I have no idea what this means, as it is ambiguous (it should really be "turn your wrist sideways" but that doesn't make it clearer). It says this for instance in Drill 2 and Drill 3. I should add having watched the first video, it shows and I understand even if I couldn't see it from the text
