Greetings to all! I was thinking to post some poems related to dizis here. English translation had been provided for those who can't read chinese with the intention to allow more people regardless of any race or background to appreciate chinese poetry. Below is one of the famous poem by the renowned poet Li Bai : In the night of spring as I listen to flute in Luoyang 春夜洛城闻笛 谁家玉笛暗飞声, 散入春风满洛城。 此夜曲中闻折柳, 何人不起故园情。 A poem by Li Bai* Title: In the night of spring as I listen to flute in Luoyang Whence came the distant melody of the jade flute Like a gust of spring wind permeates Luoyang* At dusk listening to the sorrowful 《Zhe Yang Liu》* Who does not long for home?
Li Bai- Famous chinese poet, regarded as one of the greatest poets in China's Tang period, the nickname immortal of poetry was given to him. Luoyang- Luoyang city in China 《折杨柳》 (Pronounced as Zhe Yang Liu)- title of a song How many times do we experience those kind of moments, those moments when upon hearing a song, it elicits a sense of longing or home-sickness. Hope you had enjoyed the poem, and I would greatly appreciate and encourage anyone to post any poem related to dizi or music in this thread here to share and enjoy together! Thank you Namaste~ Attachments:
