Great job, Charlie! The performance and sound quality are wonderful. The camera angle makes it easy to see what you are doing.
Well done.
Best wishes,
David

What sound quality? ;D
Well, at least the crappy mic worked. I had trouble getting to work with the camera, it was too quiet even on the loudest setting and I had to figet with everything until it came out alright.
Webcam worked fine as well. I'm also suprised at the quality of sound with silk strings. You can hear it clearly and it is good. I might keep this qin silk when I get a new qin (its yueshan is already too high for some, which is better for silk, even though there is still buzzing on the first if i pluck too hard)...

Great to see you in action. We just upgraded our DSL service so I am able to watch these things.

Yeah that was great!
Also the other entry below yours "right heart plays Guqin", is actually someone from my local Qin shop in Shanghai. You can here the noisey traffic outside.
For those of you that are trying to find that shop next time you are in Shanghai - it was knocked down a few months ago, so unforunately there is no chance for walk in customers like before. Its actually moved opposite in an old 70s, schools (or whatever) on the 3rd floor. It took me ages to find it ,so I hate to think how newcomers to Shanghai will manage.

Very well done, Mr. Huang! I enjoyed your performances very much.
On Thursday I performed among other tunes "Yang Guan San Die" on dan bau with my teacher on erhu, at the Portland Chinese Garden. When we play it, I can hear a guqin there in spirit and inspiration. What a beauty!
Best wishes,
David

Next Friday and Saturday is the date for the Big Guqin Concerts in Shanghai.
I will try to get some recording of the first night as it features new compositions played by the students of the masters (my teacher is one of them)
If possible i'll post them here so we can comment on them. Who knows they might sound crap but it will be interesting to see whats in store for modern qin music
Saturday night is the masters night!
