Welcome and Merry Christmas to you, Jeff. I share your opinion of the guqin. We in Portland are lucky to have a guqin master among us, Jim Binkley. One of my treasured memories is sitting in his living room looking out the window at the breeze blowing through the trees while Jim played.

That's great! If you do visit Portland, I hope you can make time to visit the Chinese Garden. It's quite a beautiful place. My erhu teacher and his group performs there in the tea house every Sunday afternoon, and sometimes I join in.

Thanks ! love to. we are having a concert here next month, it starts at 9am (wow!) and its at the foothill of a famous hill resort about 1/2 hr drive. lots of nice green and the early mist will be there too. I'm bringing my new qin to be premiered there. Jeff
