Ohayou, konnichi wa, konban wa, and oyasumi nasai, minna-sans!
Yes, after it has been over a year after the death of the Chinese Culture Net forum, I feel that there is a need to open a new, and yet more independant forum for Chinese musical instruments!
Until I've worked out how to install the phpBB software, this forum will have to do for now.
EDIT: Actually, this forum is suffice to requirements as it is. If this forum really takes off, then that will be the next step of expansion.
I'm sure we are all grown up and civilised people, so instead of a long list of (breakable) rules and laws, I'm going to have a relaxed atmosphere in this forum. There's only one rule you must obey, then that's all:
No obstained obscene personal onslaughts on each other.
Play nicely. Each person has an autonomy and freedom which must be respected. Any criticisms must be constructive and played with tact, and not dehumanising. If you have any problems with any forum members, sort it out else where. This is not a bitchslap forum, and I don't intend it to become that way.
Also, when substantially using materials other than your own (i.e. copying out a chunk of info from somewhere word for word), remember to quote and acknowledge the source as and when appropriate if need be. General and trivial statements in passing need not be sourced if it is obvious.
I won't go around with my sword and censor anything that does not break the rules.
Other than that, you should try and remain on topic and post in the appropriate forums and threads of your chosen topic. I'm the boss here, so my word is final.
Any other questions or queries should be PM'ed or e-mailed to me. Hmm, I think that's all...
So, happy posting! ;D
Charlie Huang.
P.S. Remember to register as well!!!
P.P.S. Remember to read the announcements forum for updates to the rules, etc.
