Does anyone have a favourite version of Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye (lit. "Spring RIver Flower Moon Night")? I know this is a famous piece and I know that it wasn't a guzheng piece originally. That's why I'd like to ask whether people have a favourite guzheng transcription or arrangement of this piece.
My teacher tells me that the guzheng part in the duo version of this piece (guzheng + pipa) actually sounds good even with just the guzheng alone. She tried to demonstrate what she meant by playing that part. However, I begged to differ with her, and I suspect that there are some transcribed/arranged versions of this out there that may sound more satisfctory as an independent guzheng piece. I've actually got a couple of versions in my hand but one seems to be a bit curtailed and the other one feels a bit bottom-heavy i.e. there's too much going on in the bass/lower strings.
Mind you, this is not my favourite piece of music. I play it only by popular request.
Does anyone have a favourite version? And what other comments/observations would you add regarding this piece? Do you like it?

OK, so no-one has a favourite version of Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye (lit. "Spring RIver Flower Moon Night"), and no-one has any comment/observation regarding this piece? Do you like it. Thanks for your time anyway.
