Dear all
Does anyone have anything to say about performing Xian Shan She Gu and/or Qing Feng Nian? I mean anything e.g. how to make these pieces interesting, how one could better execute these pieces, etc. etc.
Anyone?

Xiang Shan She Gu...Well its a shanxi piece... Its actually talking bout people on the high mountains playing the drums to celebrate and stuff.
Beginning - The beginning must be soft and its representing the dawn of a new day. Ur notes must seem relaxed and natural or else if spoils the mood of the song.
Slow part- It represents the people slowly dancing expressing their love for the mountain. It must be played in a touching manner and great care must be taken for the bending of the notes!!!
Slow-Fast- Progression must be clearly seen and the way you play mustn't be too dead or else it kills the song.
Fast part- It must be loud and fast, remember, ur bass notes are important as it represents the drums blaring in the background.
I can't help u on qing feng nian though D:
